Try putting a note that says "we're baking one" in a box of cookies, buns, muffins, or a cookie jar for Christmas.

There're books out there on grandparenting that you can gift-wrap and hand over, especially good at this time of year.

'The Good Granny Guide' is quite good. There aren't many; the girl in the store said 'I've been running this section for years, and nobody has ever asked. I suppose they all think they know...'

I worried a bit about the implications of it seeming like I was suggesting that grandparenting skills might be deficient and a manual had been deemed necessary, but it ended up working out quite well. Just scribble 'Read before (your due date)' in the front page...

As for my siblings, I should've just started prefacing their names with 'Aunt' and 'Uncle,' but not much stays quiet after you've told your parents, it seems.

A friend of my moms told my mom that her daughter had a birthday party for their little girl and put a note or a t shirt they made, saying my mommy and daddy are having a baby. The girls mother was so surprised by that..You could do something similar for Christmas and put something in someones gift. That would be cute.

Oh no. I was 17 when I got pregnant. My mother and I got in a big fight about something and I yelled at her "It doesn't f*cking matter anymore, I'm pregnant anyways!" Not the best way to spring it on her cause the fight only got worse, but ya know. I was 17. :) Lol.
