Lets see ... Let a=b
Then Multiply each side by a -> a*a=a*b
or simply a^2=ab
Then subrtact b^2 from both sides and you have a^2-b^2=ab-b^2
Now the left side is the difference of squares and factors to
(a-b)(a+b)=ab-b^2 ....factor a b on the right and you have
(a-b)(a+b)=b(a-b)
Divide both sides by (a-b) and that leaves (a+b)=b
but since a=b, by substatution, it becomes b+b=b or
2b=b then divide by b and you have 2=1
So based on this proof, 2+2 could =5!!!!

OK, let's look at roman numbers. . .

I I + I I. . . if you move it around a bit, you can get I I + V then move it some more and you get I + IV and that equals V or 5.

Of course, that is just sillyness. 2 + 2 = 4. You don't even have to take off your shoes to count that high.
