This would depend on the genre you are going for.
For romance, I would say Gone With The Wind or Mulin Rouge.
For action, Saving Private Ryan, Armageddon, etc.

Without a doubt Star Wars (Epidsode IV). Can't beat seeing all the special effects on the big screen.
