If I have the day off I will not go in. I specifically took yesterday off and they called me in for two different shifts. Thank God for Caller I.D. I can avoid them that way.

Of course! Well I currently work only 12 hours and would like to be working at least 25-30 hours a week. But even if I did work full time I would put in time on my day off if they needed me. I think this makes the company value you more as an employee.

I don't have a life...hehe Okay well my work IS my life. And as someone already mentioned, I take it as a compliment. Not that I'm really that much of an expert at my job; I just try harder than anyone else. My work ethics and dependability are what has gotten me this far.

If they can reach me, and I am not engaged in any important activity, I would go to the office. That shows two things:
1) That they appreciate you
2) That you care about your job and are a reliable person. They are going to take this into consideration when it's moment to climb up the ladder

It depends. If I was a writer or did something that didn't save people then No. But if I was a doctor, or a Police Chief than yes.

I will occasionally. If I absolutely don't want them to bother me, I don't answer when they call.

If they're really in a bind.. yes. I'd like to think they wouldn't be calling otherwise.

I'm on call 24/7 so it's no big deal.
