the emblem holes are already there, but most of my fender bolts are either rusted bad or stripped, and i'm afraid if I try to get the fender off I wont be able to get it back on there. so does anybody have any ideas of ways to attach a fender emblem without taking the fender off?

I have a 1979 Chevy Scottsdlae which had Fender emblems missing.
I went down to my local wrecking yard and found 2 emblems in perfect condition and drilled two 1/8"
holes in the emblem - through the fender, and used a pop-rivet to attach the emblems, then used
black paint (to match the background) unless you look very close..you will not notice anything

If your fender bolts and stuff are stripped you can get them for cheep at www.chevyduty.com or www.lmctruck.com My advise is to do it right, take the inner wheel well out which prolly needs replaced anyway, you can get those from either of those as well for like 40 bucks you can even get them in chrome for about 200 but thats a bit much. These square body trucks in good condition are actually worth some money believe it or not so take your time and make it pretty.

Barrel clips. See the link for a picture. Stud from the emblem fits into barrel clip and clip get pushed into mounting hole on the car. Availably at any auto body part supplier or you might find them at a large hardware store. Good luck.

take inner fender wells out or cut the studs off the emblems and super glue it on.

it relies upon on the emblems and what the truck has been in spite of the undeniable fact that and in case you opt for to maintain the paint on the panel, the way is to take some sticky label/gasket remover and allow it soak less than the emblem, this will also take the paint off too, so beware!. then you actually can use a pointy putty knife and slowly commence to scape it off from one end.

You could always go to a parts store and get some two sided tape. Just make sure the surfaces are clean before you put it on. Oh yeah, you can trim it to fit with a razor blade or hobby knife.
