It's all because Jesus didn't get the X-box he asked for. He'll eventually let old St. Nick go once he realizes he's in bad need of a diaper change.

Isn't it the other way around? Sure, Christianity made an invasion on the Pagan celebration of the celebration of the Winter Solstice to ease them into the new ways of worshipping God, but didn't Santa virtually take Christmas over entirely (at least in the public view)?

Maybe you are on something. Oooooooor maybe it's a metaphor for something. That with all this Santa crap, our Lord and savior is being overlooked by business and propaganda of SPEND SPEND SPEND. Maybe if we actually just SPENT time with the people we love, then we wouldn't be so aggressive, rude, vicious and ornary towards eachother. Maybe that's why you see such a phenomenon.

We need to get along.
I have never read anything in the Bible that ever indicated what Jesus had in his hair. So there is nothing wrong with wishful thinking.
