Start with little things. Make a list "To do things" & every night before going to bed check against the list of your progress. Have a reward systems for being good. Think positive & do not label yourself as messy ....

Make lists for yourself. Reminder's of what you need to do. Start small and reward yourself for completing a task. You can even make a list of where you keep things, until you actually sit yourself down and start organizing bit by bit. I'm the same way but I've found that if I prioritize it helps.

Well, at least you recognize that you have these flaws. lol
If your personal organization is this bad, then at least you can make sure that the world around you isn't affected by it. I myself am a very clean person and enjoy a clean environment, but my own BEDROOM is a complete pigstye. THe rest of my hosue is fine, but my room just can't be clean. :P *lol*
