The hashing algorithm that Google uses is claimed to be amazing. It trawls all sites all the time gathering information on every single word and storing references to that site on it's servers. When you receive a page of results check out how many they've given you and the amount of time it took, that's the main reason why Google is considered better. Yahoo! is actually older than Google by about five years or so. However, when Google came along it was significantly better than anything else that existed in the way of web search engines at the time. Going forward Google has not sat still. It's company motto of 'Do no evil' is bound to have helped it's reputation amongst the geek community that inhabited the web before the rest of society caught on, as geeks do tend to be very moral people. Their wide range of products all consist of the same clean style that Google pioneered. When Yahoo! (and others like Excite and Lycos) started it was very cluttered and went straight for the portal market, much like iGoogle has done more recently. At the time though there was no such thing as AJAX. AJAX is the technology that allows web pages to change within the browser without having to reload the whole page. This meant that the portals were very clunky, slow (no broadband), and generally not very user friendly. Google's business model of attracting users with free web applications in order to be able to sell advertising space that is unobtrusive to those users is starting to become more popular. Too late for most though as Google has cornered the market, as well as the hearts of it's users. In brief, Google was better than anything else available at the time when it started and has continued to lead the way in web application technology.

How did he get so many points in 3 days? It tells me I can only answer 20 questions a day.

Reported him TWICE and I think he is using SPAM software and multiple cpu's to build points (he only has TWO answers and 19K points or something).

I guess the guy has to excel at something in his little life. Another post said that his site had a virus, so be CAREFUL!

Oh yes. I never thought I'd say this, but I've been held back by the man. May his eyebrows fall out on a dusty day.
