You can make one with a second-hand car speedometer. The needle of the speedo is attached to an aluminium cup which is restrained by a hairspring. Behind this cup is a magnet attached to the rotating cable from one of the car's wheels. As the magnet rotates it tries to drag the cup round, because it induces electric currents in the cup, but the spring restrains it. The faster the cars wheels rotate, the further the cup and the speedo needle are twisted round the dial. You make the cup vanes which the wind blows round and attach them to the speedo where the cable is connected to it. You'll need to calibrate your anemometer yourself.
