I'm purchasing this for a gift and would like to know. Can you play xbox 360 games on the xbox halo special edition green game? Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you.

if your buying a xbox 360 make sure it is a 360 and not a xbox...the original xbox has the halo green one and no you couldn't play the 360 games there is a difference i hope this helps ...

The Special Xbox was released for Halo one sometime in 2002. You cant play Xbox 360 games with it.

no the xbox halo edition is basically an xbox with halo faceplates all over the thing. Still any type of video game console would be a good gift
As for suggestions, a 360 or regular xbox would be good for people 12 yrs and older, anything under i'd go with a psp, Wii, or a nintendo Ds
