umm well i just started getting mine in 6th grade im in 8th now and i dont get mine every 28 days.. mine are very strange.. they will come like every 5 months and they will be extreamily painful and will last for 2 weeks! im not sexually active or on any pills that would do that..... but for the most part its just when you have an egg in your overies that is waiting for the sperm to come and when it dosent happen that egg will eventually die and your body knows that your not planning on having a child so it flushes everything out (blood) and the egg witch is so small you can barley see it.... you get cramps and umm they hurt... thats why there called cramps.... ummm a regular period last about 3 days.. but in my case 2 weeks! i think thats all i no i havent had mine long enough to know everything

Sweetie,some of these answers are ridiculous,lol.Your vagina doesnt "break".When you ovulate,your egg prepares itself to be fertilized by attaching itself to your the lining of your uterus..If it isnt fertilized it is then released,and your uterus sheds its lining.It is sort of a way your body cleans itself out.Then the process starts all over again.However,if you have any further questions about your cycle,i think you should speak to your mother or another trusted female adult.They have been there and they totally understand.Your mother will be glad you came to her instead of depending on your peers for your facts,especially about your body.Good luck hun,have a good day.

ok. you get it every month usually 28 days but sometimes its different....at the beginning u may not get your period every month but thats ok theres a part in ur vagina that holds an egg if its fertilized but if an egg is not fertilized that stuff that holds ur egg comes out with u egg wen ur on ur period ur egg comes out wen u have ur period but it is so small u cant see it
