I am mixed of North African and European, I am wondering why Europeans aren't exotic. I'm not interested in them at all, I think Dominicans are exotic, why is this?

Probably because these are areas of the world with little political or economic influence, and they are therefore marginalized in the general social consciousness in many ways . Most people who "count" ( and by that, I mean the inhabitants of the "first world") know very little about them or their homelands, and so they seem "strange " and "exotic"

The term "exotic" is relative to where you are or where you're from.
Exotic: of foreign origin or character; not native; introduced from abroad, but not fully naturalized or acclimatized: e.g.exotic foods; exotic plants.
