6k - 10k years + one day. Don't you read the bible? On the second day he created the earth. on the first day he created the universe.
Sillyness, but what do you expect from someone who only believes what they read in one book.

I agree fully with you. To many people in this section converting to christianity. However, for logical reasons, I must take their side with this one...
The Earth isnt 6k-10k years old, but predicted to be at least a few billion years old (Its not nearly as old as the sun, but it is quite old.) In time, lots of light could have reached here. Its not very surprizing. As for when there universe was made: Its predicted that it was 14 billion years ago, but then it was mainly just particles. It was about 10 billion years ago that stars and such would have actually formed if im correct.
Please, correct me if im wrong with anything.

logic says that the bible is wrong because the bible itself is being misintrepted..
Even according to the bible the age can be multipiled by thousands of years.
Plus we have physical evidence that pushes just the flood to 12k or greater in physical fact.. only blind faith makes it 6k-10k.
Faith alone accepts the possibility that the bible is not 100% of what god has done.

There's no disconnect. If God created the universe 6000 years ago, then the entire universe is 6000 years old. What you think you're seeing is either a measurement error, or God designed the universe to look like it's older, possibly as a test of your faith.
