A father.

I did not mean Jesus, neither did I mean a husband. I meant a father of a child.

My father is a retired minister. The only person to ever be perfect was Jesus Christ. Of course you know this or you would not have asked your question. I will answer your question with a question of my own. Who are you to Christ? In the gospel of John it is stated that all things were created by Him and without him was nothing made. You were made in the image of God as was all mankind. Have you looked in the mirror lately? Do you see Christ in you? Of course we can not physically see Christ in us but we most definately can see our inner self and know if Christ is in us. We would not have needed Christ to die for us if we could live perfectly. Since we can not, Christ sacrificed himself for us that we thru Him could be made perfect in the sight of God. Jesus said, "Greater love hath no man than this, that he would lay down his life for him." Christ showed us his great love with his great sacrifice. I truly believe that if only one man could be saved by His sacrifice, Christ would still have given his life for that one man (or woman). This man is more to me than life itself because he gave His life for me. What greater love can I possibly have than to give my life in servitude to the One that gladly gave His life for me? What this person means to me is: perfect love, salvation, redemption, self-sacrifice, undying devotion, amazing grace, inner peace, outward obedience, humility and much more. That is what He means to me, but what do I mean to Him? I am his creation. I am not my own man. I live and breathe because he allows me to live and breathe. I am His child, His brother, His creation, but more importantly His friend. The greatest love of all was expressed by my creator, my friend. Man invents things and calls the "amazing" "wonderful" "fantastic". God created life in all things and simply said "It is good." No matter where you go, no matter who you talk to, no matter what you may see or experience in this life, it is ALL made possible because He lived, He died and He arose. Who am I that all this ould be given? Simply stated I am his friend and He is my friend. He gave all for me so should I not give my all for Him? To me this person is much more than my creator, much more than my Savior, much more than my Redemer, much more than my brother, Father, or God. He is very simply the one who gave His life for me because I am his friend. So my answer to you is, HE IS MY FRIEND.
