I want to know when the best time to ride the Kilimanjaro Safaris would be. We will be at Disney World tomorrow and will be staying a week. Are the animals more active in the morning, afternoon, or late afternoon? Thanks for the help!

well, It's Always Best To Go In The Morning To Take Advantage Of The Your Whole Day At The Park..
However, If You Want A Nice Time On The Kilimanjaro Safaris With And Incredible Short Line (practically a 'walk on'), You're Going To Want To Give Up One Of The Popular Shows At The Park..

During Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade (now with a holiday theme) And The Finding Nemo Musical, The Line For The Safaris Can Be Really Short.. Expecially For The Parade..
We Went When The Parade Was On, And We Almost Had A Safari To Ourselves! Just Us And 3 Other People..

Same Practically Goes To All The Other Attractions In The Park, Like Dinosaur And Expedition Everest..

As For Animal Activity, They May Seem A Little Groggy In The Morning And Right In The Afternoon..
During Our Lonely-Safari, Many Of The Animals Were Hard To See, Like The Lions, Most Likely Because They Were Eating..

Speaking Of Animals, Don't Forget To Check Out The Conservation Station For A 'Backstage' Look At The Animal Kingdom And The Maharajah Jungle Trek For Some Nice Up-Close Encounters With Bats, Tigers, And Komodo Dragons..
Both Give Some Nice Views Of Animals Up Close..

Hope To Help, And If You Need Any Other Help, Don't Hesitate To Contact Me And I'll See What I Can Do!

I love the Kilimanjaro Safari ride. It's my must-do at Animal Kingdom. The best time to ride depends on what time of year it is. During the summer, when it is very hot, the early afternoon is the worst time, because the animals seek shelter from the sweltering heat. At this time of year, any time of day should be okay.

I love Animal Kingdom. It is my favorite park second only to Magic Kingdom. Have a great time, and if it's not too cold, don't miss the Kali River Rapids!

We went to Animal Kingdom three weeks ago. If you want to go to a giant zoo that has a couple of rides, that's your place.

The safari is nothing really special, honest. You ride in a "truck" and you see a bunch of animals that are not in cages, but most likely are kept in an area with an underground electronic fence and an imbedded chip. Otherwise, I can't imagine that the ostrich would last long around the cheetah or the lions.

The park closes earlier than any of the other parks, so you might as well get there as early as you can to make the most of it. Consider getting a park hopper pass for that day so you can go to Epcot after and see the fireworks and have some fun food. (Epcot has an AMAZING aquarium too, by the way. Better than Sea World's).

The animals are all so domesticated/tamed that it doesn't seem to matter what time you go. Lions and tigers spend most of their days sleeping. Go early, enjoy the day. When it closes, go to Epcot.

The Safari ride isn't all that great, but some of it seems quite scary. When I was there ages ago I remember a disney cast member dressed as a poacher with a elephant (robotic). I remember I got there really early and it was fine. Leave around noon and go to Epcot or MGM

The attraction is geared more around the Disney fake stuff. Our kids were highly disappointed. Spend your time in Epcot or Magic Kingdom to get the best bang for your buck. Animal Kingdom seems to us that it has a lot of bugs to work out.
