When I was driving back home at 23:45 one night, I saw my neighbour walking alone on the street near our houses. He was going home too. He opened his door, waited for me to arrive and talked to me. "How are you?"he asked. "Where are the children?" I asked him. I supposed that he would say they had all gone to bed. "They've gone to my girlfriend's mother's. I'm all alone again." he said. I didn't understand at the beginning, as I used to think that the lady with him was his wife. He continued," *****(the lady's name), my girlfriend, has gone to her mother's home with the children. I'm all alone again." Then he asked me about my husband. He knew my husband's working abroad at the moment. I told him that I'd join my husband as soon as my daughter enter university. He looked surprised and drew one step back. Then he asked,"Do you find it hard or easy without your husband?" "Hard of course." I answered. "If you need any help, just knock my door..." he said.

I have read all of your story. This guy is a creep. He scares me. STAY AWAY! Tell your daughter NEVER to speak with him. Seriously, he is a potential criminal. He is NOT someone to even be friendly with.

I don't know if it's common but your neighbours are obviously not married, not to each other anyway. Maybe the children are from a previous relationship. Maybe he was feeling a bit lonely and just making conversation. If he made you feel uncomfortable perhaps your should listen to your instincts and try to avoid anything but the most superficial contact with him. Maybe next time your husband is home he could tell your neighbour he appreciates his offer to help you. He would then know you'd discussed it with your husband.

Now a days, this seems to be very familiar in Western countries. People no longer marry, rather they live in relationships
