My parents played his music...I have read a few poems...just can't figure out his story.? He describes women so beautifully , yet i can't find one woman he had a relationship with.Any insight??

For a time he lived with Marianne Jensen in the Greek Isles while she was separated from from her husband, Cohen's friend, Axel Jensen.
Cohen never married, but fathered two children with Suzanne Elrod (she came later than the song).
His song, "Chelsea Hotel #2" was about his fling with Janis Joplin. In the late 80s, he had a relationship with Rebecca De Mornay. He is now linked with Anjani Thomas.
Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You" is rumored to have been written late one night in Cohen's grandmother's kitchen. They toured Canada together. Whether they ever hooked up romantically is conjecture. There are also rumors of many artists at the time.
He did have a crush on Nico of the Velvet Underground but she turned him down at the time. After the Underground broke up, and she had fallen on hard times, she searched out Cohen. Again, conjecture.
