I have an angel that sits atop my christmas tree. It came with a 10w12v halogen bulb, but I can't find that anywhere at my local stores... the closest I can find is a 20w12v. Can I use that because the volts match? The instructions say 12v only but it doesn't mention a wattage...

Well I don't mean to sound really dumb, but a transformer? I would hate to start a fire or melt anything so I guess I'll just order a bulb on the internet...

Okay, on the adapter it says
Input: 120VAC 60hz 0.2A
Output: 12VAC 1A 12W
Does that mean I should not use the 20w12V because the rating on the adapter output says 1A, and the 20w works out to 1.67...?

I'm guessing this bulb is not battery powered, but after a transformer or converter connected to a wall socket. Take a look at the capacity of the adapter. It should list it right on the label.
The maximum may be listed in terms of current. To figure this out, divide the power (watts) by the volts (12). In the case of the 10W bulb, this is 0.83 amps. The 20W is 1.67 amps. If this exceeds the rating on the adapter, then don't use it.

Aussie gave you a good answer, so if you use the 20w bulb just make sure that the extra heat won't melt your angel.

Yes it will work just fine.. The only difference is that the 20 watt bulb would be brighter...

2 questions...does the base include a transformer? if so then the 20 watt bulb will burn it out....and the same for the base itself if not rated for 20 watts...I would not use it unless these are rated properly

20 watts will be brighter than 10 and will produce more heat. Could melt plastic or start fire

well the KKR will finish up the tournament on a high note and it will automatically help the RCB to qualify for the playoffs. the only advantage for Sunrises is the home support otherwise the whole country will be supporting the KKR for RCB.
