Yes it's natural to feel that way. You have to set yourself small, attainable goals. Once you start realizing some of those goals, you will have a feeling of accomplishment, and better self-esteem. Once your start to turn yourself around you'll see why leading a good, clean, honest life is so much better. Good luck to you! =)

Sure it is. But you need a financial plan to turn things around.
They do not have debtors prison any more so relax a little.
You need a financial plan. Make a list of your needs - food, clothing, shelter, transportation, fuel, insurance etc. List the must haves. How much do they cost. Where can you cut down. Renting an apt. Are there lower costs ones to be had? Clothing - where do you shop? Do you really need that new item? I have seen people not pay rent but pay their cable bill. That does not make sense. Now work for a long range plan. Do you need education to get a better paying job. Do you have a high school diploma? If not - get your GED, classess are available. Get grants or loan to attend a trade school or univeristy to get a license of some type. Having that license does not make you better than the next guy but it makes you more employable for better paying jobs. Not being able to pay a bill does not make you a bad person. It makes you a person that is unable to pay the bill.
Creditors calling you. Most people have caller ID - don't pick up the phone. This is paying a bill for someone to abuse and threaten you. Is it coming across unavailable? Look if your friends can't tell you who is calling then you don't need to talk to them. The phone is for your convience not anybody who wants your time. If it was the other way around they would be paying the bill. List your bills. Make an attempt to pay them off. Send what you can. If they attempt to sue you go to court show where you have paid on a regular schedule, it shows that they have accepted your payments an have accepted your repayment terms even if it is not in writing. Everybody has a financial problem now and then. Do it the right way and get back on track. Don't do anything illegal. Lawyers, jail time and a record will not help in the future. There are many books in the library on financial planning get one and start to read. I don't know your age but remember your parents have worked a lifetime for what they have. Don't expect to have all the "stuff" immediately. Turn your thinking around. Next time think how bad do I really need it instead of how bad do I want that. Companies spend millions figuring out how to get your money. Just say no.

Unfortunately, money is becoming ever the necessary evil.

It is natural because you have been used to a certain lifestyle where life has been so comfortable and convenient. Suddenly, things have gone the other way and you can't make both ends meet.

At this time, it is essential that you check your spending. There may be some areas that you need to cut back on or totally remove from your budget. You have to balance your cashflow (what goes in and what goes out).

Regarding leading a good life, we have different perspectives as to what good life is. Maybe in your case a good life equates to having plenty of money to spend for everything. Other people see it differently. A good life for them is just having enough means to support their basic needs and the rest will be taken care of by having a very harmonious relationship. You may be a materialistic person so your needs are higher than other people.

Personally, I don't want to be a corporate slave all my life despite all the money you get and the comfort of living it provides. It is because it is not lasting and it doesn't guarantee you a lifetime supply of money. Hence, I have to accept some things and narrow down my choices when it comes to spending. Another thing is I would be putting up my own business for a more sustainable way of living.

Whatever way you want to take, just be ready to make sacrifices.

It all boils down to what really counts in your life that would make it a good life.

Yes, of course struggling to make ends meet as hard as you can and still having difficulty would lead to despair. You are far from alone in this world. But your attitude towards life and its ups and downs is a choice. I'm not saying that is easy or always possible but it is still fundamentally a choice you make. Your family, your friends and other such things in your life that really count should be the basis of your happiness. If you are a person of faith, knowing you have a church family to support you and that things work out for the best helps. You deserve to have great pride in yourself for being a hard-working man.

It is a ***** sometimes but it's much better than the other type that you mentioned. Many of us here are working or have worked all our lives making an honest buck but don't have alot of valuable assets. Our main assets are the children we have raised to become hard workers and assets in their communities. Ya know, I really wouldn't trade anything, meaning the long hours and the working out of town. We do what we have to do, try to keep a little humor in our days and when despair finds us on occasion we don't give up but pray for some divine help.

I think it is natural. Your trying to work hard and succeed in life, but it seems to be going no where. I understand completely. But, the important thing is that at least you keep at it and don't quit. It will be very hard to stay positive but it can be done.
I know from experience, and what helped me a lot was reading selp improvement stuff, like Tony Robbins stuff. He helped me stay positive even when i didn't have the energy too.

Yes it's natural, and I know what you're going through. I was working 3 jobs at one time. Now I'm working as a contractor in Iraq, finally getting ahead, for once in a row.

Yes, it is a struggle in America for folks living from paycheck to paycheck.
Especially the ones that have never had a mom and dad sort of boost or a coach to help guild them.
These are the true hard workers and God will richly bless them.
