Too much!
$250 - toys for my daughter
$200 - gifts for family members
$150 - decorations (outdoor lights, tree lights, tree, wreath/garland, ect.)
$60 - cost to make candy that i send to family
$45 - cost to ship the candy for family
$20 - Christmas cards
$15- postage for christmas cards
thats really all i can think of, it may not sound like alot of money to some people - but to a family fresh out of college (dh graduated may 2005 & I graduated in May 2006) ,and living on a single income (i'm a SAHM) its a pretty big chuink! but hey christmas only comes once a year! Merry Christmas!

This is my train of thought. I love to give my friends and family gifts all year long. I will see something and pick it up and sent it to them.
At Christmas I tone it down a lot. I give gifts to some but for the most part I send e-cards or mail cards as they know the next gift is coming soon.

Not a penny extra than my usual expense. Jesus didn't teach us to go broke.
