I think you should go. You might have a good time, you might not. You'll never know unless you go. If (for whatever reason) you start having a horrible time, you can just make up an excuse and leave.

P.S. Goldenbrowngod has a point. ;-)

I've been in the same position and, honestly, I think you should go. I have been at points in my life where I felt very down, like I didn't fit in, like I had no friends, etc. But when someone is kind and offers you their hand, do not turn it away, unless there is something about him or her or the people going to the party that you absolutely cannot stand. Otherwise, just go and see what it's like...you don't have to feel like everyone there is your best friend or even be super familiar with everyone. But who knows? You may make a friend or get to know someone better than you ever thought you would. There are always oppourtunites to meet good people...you just have to be open to them. I hope everything goes well.

Go to the party. It is hard to get yourself motivated, maybe, but once you get there you may have a great time. If you are not having that good of time, leave. No harm in that. But you won't know until you get there. Get off your butt and go.

You might be surprised at going and having a good time will do for you. Just keep it clean.

I am extremely positive that you shouldn't go. If you're sad, you need to spend the day by yourself doing what makes you feel better.

Plus, you won't have to worry about the hassle of buying a gift.

Happy holidays. ♥
