USB to Ethernet adapter. I had one of these but I cant find it anywhere...
If your computer is old then the newer usb may not work. Go with the following option.

As ozhawk said..
Every DSL modem now-a-days has an aditional port for the usb connector..it will have a D-type port on the modem and you would need to use a Cable which looks similar to a Printer USB cable which can be used for the same purpose..even if you dont have a Network card..you should be able to use the internet using a USB Cable connected to one of the USB ports...
PS: If it does not work on the Ports on the back try the ports on the front if you have some.
the cable Has a Square Type connector on one end and a regular USB connector on the Other end and it comes with most od the DSL starter Kits. Ask for it from your DSL service provider.

Hi,
I don't know of any cable that would convert DSL (CAT5) to USB or a phone plug. You do have other options. If your DSL modem or router has wireless capabilities you can get a wireless DSL adapter that plugs into your USB port. The other option is to by an Ethernet card and install it inside you PC in an available PCI slot. This card will have the plug-in port you need for your DSL cable.

You might just not be finding it because only REALLY old computers don't have the port that is needed for DSL... It looks like a phone plug in... Well I suggest cable anyway, it's so much faster and you never get disconnected. If you still can't find the port try calling your DSL company or ask a Radio Shack guy or something. Good luck!

To use dsl, you either use a USB connection or an ethernet (network port) connection from the modem to the computer.
The phone line connects directly to the modem, not the PC.
There is no adaptor as such on the market.

You could install a wireless connection. I have a wireless router hooked to my DSL modem across the room. I have a wireless adapter installed in a USB port on my computer. It works beautifully. Of course I live in the country so don't have to worry about people logging on to my wireless.

You need an ethernet card or Nic. The ethernet connctor is called an RJ-45 where as a phone cord is RJ-11. They are a diffrent size. You have a modem, not a network card.

You need an ethernet card or LAN card. Make sure there is an empty PCI slot inside your computer to put it.
