close the programm on your computer and input "Ctrl+ALT+Del" open the "windows Task Manager" dialog. In the Perforamance you will see how much CPU and PF usage left. If no too much, it means there is virus on the computer. In the Processes you can see which programm use most of CPU or Memory. Otherwise you can start the "disk fragmenter" clear the frag in the disk.

Go to start, click on control panel, then click on add/remove programs and then click remove on any program you no longer use. Then go to start, search, type temporary files then under that type temp. You will get a full page of temp files and you can delete all of them. No harm. Then go back and click new search and put temporary internet files then type temp. and see if you get any there. Neither one of these will hurt your comp. and I should make it faster. After this, do these steps at least once a month. Good Luck.

Not sure what you mean by "pf" but it could be a lot of things. Slow processor, old video card, too many things installed, spyware/adware, too many programs opening at startup, or any number of other things.
