Will a hand - held steam cleaner work to clean artificial plants? They are really dusty. If not, what will work?

Your steam cleaner should work I put mine in the shower and a quick cleaning. I also during the summer take them outside for a good hosing. Just make sure to remove a leave from where it won't be noticed and test it first. Also make sure the base is not full of paper or it will be really messy.

Try using the small round brush on your vaccum cleaner. Works well for me.

I rinse mine under running water and lay them out to dry.

I've heard that you can put them in a brown paper bag with a handful of salt and shake them up. The salt is supposed to "scrub" them and get the dust off. I've never tried it, though.

you can purchase silk plant cleaner... spray it on and wipe it off... works great. Check w/ craft shop or even a florist.

i sugest taking a sponge and scrubbing of the dust or some glass cleaner and let that soak and that should do some good.

That sounds like it would work, or a Swiffer duster. Something along those lines.
