It's possible.

Are we all nothing but biological automotaun's programmed by Genetic Code, Neural Imprinting and Social Conditioning?

Who can say for sure but God?

But ask God for yourself, don't take anyone's word for it.

Someone once mentioned a book that described the scientific discovery of spiritual content of matter. I don't remember much, including the title and the author, but I remember that it dealt with artificial speeding particles in some machine. Somehow the author used this to support the notion of a material essence of the spiritual. Maybe someone at Border's whould know the author or title? Or someone on here... (this was about three years ago and it was new then.)

You are getting hung up on words. There is nothing to say that the material and the spiritual are not the same thing.

The problem the people who think of themselves as being spiritual have is that they don't realize that belief doesn't make things true. You have to verify things you think if you want to make any claim to truth. They don't like that as they are lazy mentally and some are even dishonest con artists. Their ignorance and stupidity doesn't help either.

The scientific world has verified that the world we are in has certain building blocks of matter and energy. A lot of thought and verification of each step and conclusion has given the material interpretation the validity that the spiritual claims cannot complete with.

But if you want to, you can say the word "spirit" in place of "energy", and so forth. It is really nothing but a bunch of words. What is important is that you MUST verify the models of reality you come up with and if you cannot verify your belief, your belief is no more spiritual than the trash in a garbage can. People who have dogmatic beliefs have a lot of problems with that.

Come on if there is one organism on the planet that is capable of being spiritual its human beings. While we may be organic in our nature has there ever been a creature on earth such as us capable of soaking IT all up and feeling everything!

I would say that we are spiritual beyond measure!

Lets face it what do you suggest other than matter, chemistry and electrical charges could appreciate spirituality as well as us!?

Why nothing? Why not that we are every thing, matter, chemical, electrical and these give rise to spirituality. Spirituality is a concept, not content. There is no dual nature,as there is just us and all the wonder that is inherent in being human.

Even if we could isolate the 'matter, chemistry, and electrical charges' that effect each thought -- that produce or provide the sufficient condition for any determinate mental state-- STILL there is an explanatory gap between the physics, the physical structure and the subjective QUALITY of experience.

There is more spiritual content in life then there is matter, chemistry or electrical charges.

In that case how do we explain memories? or feelings? It may be a combination of chemical reaction and electric charge produced by the Mind and felt by the body but what is it's purpose; maybe it feeds something else besides the Body and Mind.

This is a deeply spiritual question. I believe you have answered the question yourself. A blob of matter would not care if it was devoid of spirit!

Whew! Alan Turing's long-winded answer to your poorly put rhetorical question proves that those devoid of "spiritual content" are of a kind: the Perennial Menace to Clarity. Oh, please also include Yahoo Answers in this sad fraternity.
