Somebody please be honest.... is it against God (is it a sin) to masturbate?

why would it be a sin to pleasure ourselves? It's just human nature to masturbate? I mean, there are probably monkeys and such that might even masturbate just to find pleasure amongst oneself.

The bible words it that, that was all one certain man was doing in the Bible, to the extent that he would not even procreate (Onan). This is why God punished him, because he was doing it excessively to the extent of unnaturallness, even not marrying to do it.
Regular, normal masturbation should not be a sin. Doing it excessively, is one. But then, anything to excess, eating, drinking, etc., is also a sin.

It's not a sin to masturbathe (thank goodness :) ) but it is a sin to think about or look at someone while doing it. enjoy

according to Catholic any form of promiscuity is a sin unless it is to bear children in wed lock
