How to write a song?!?

Question

I was wondering how to write a song? I mean, i have ideas and stuff.. I wrote 1 song but it didn't sound right when i sung it. Any ideas or tips?

It's probably best to get music first, then write the song. Get the tune stuck in your head so you can constantly be thinking of ideas.

usually when i write a song, i think about the feelings im feeling currently. let the rhymes come to you. dont try to make too much effort writing them. one time when i was laying in bed at night, lines of a poem came into my head and im like 'ugh....i just have to write that down'. it happens at school too. i write lines to a story in my planner. gd luck wif writing songs ^^ hope u do well

okay like write songs from the heart or just what your thinking and it may come out better than what you think. i find this happeens to a lot of people and you just need to express yourself and enjoy the talent if you have it preform it for your friends and see what they say

I think you should just speak it out first and then see where your voice goes when you read. Evolve that to singing. Works for me usually.

if it didn't sound right you have no musical talent so let people with talent write the songs
