You won't know this is the best answer, for a few weeks, but if you purchase a product called COMBAT, it comes in a gel, and in small, and large Roach traps, and if you buy the traps, then get enough to place all around the apartment, What happens is the roaches eat it, then go back into the walls, cracks, crevices etc, and die, where they are then consumed by other roaches, and they die, etc. If you use it, you may see some roaches for a week, then poof, all of them disappear, I have used this, in several apartments, and believe me, I know it works, and works well, and continues to work ! You can even see it sold on amazon.

Make sure that if you do move out, like the landlord guy mentioned you could do (break the lease), make sure you take pictures of the roaches, and get adequate proof of them living in your apartment, otherwise they'll deny, deny, deny. Good luck!

Oh man, I would be mad! Ok get tones of roach bomes, don't move your stuff in yet. If your stuff is in the place leave it. Follow the directions, than after that's done get those bait traps, and make sure you keep everything in tupperware with lids or zip bags. Keep food and trash picked up, dishes too. I would the move the trash can to the outdoors, if you can.

If you're going to stay there, you also need to be fanatically clean, especially in the kitchen. No food left out, keep the stove clean (grease is horrible for attracting roaches). In apts, you live with your own dirt as well as everybody else's- including the neighbors'... if they have roaches, you'll get them again. So, have fun... we're still working on ours... nasty little buggers...

Boric Acid. You mix it with powdered sugar & put it where the roaches are most likely to find it, cracks & crevices. I found boric acid at Wal-Mart over by the laundry supplies. HTH

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk

Those are grounds for breaking a lease. They can't hold you to it.
Seriously.
