Depends on what you like to do. If you like the bar scene, Mt Adams is the place to go. Free summer concert series at Riverbend is cool, take a couple of frisbees along and just start throwing them to people. If they're the kind of people you'd want as friends, they'll throw them back. Bruce's canoe rental is great. People bring along drinks (which is not allowed) then make periodic stops on the bank and frequently strike up conversations with total strangers. Since it's winter, go to Perfect North Slopes, alone, and you'll be forced to ride the lift up with somebody. Ask them to give you some pointers or to take a picture of your downhill slalom in exchange for you buying them a cup of hot chocolate in the lodge. I'm also a big fan of the Hofbrau Haus at Newport on the Levy and The Pub in Crestview Hills. Good Luck!

I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but have you flipped thru a CityBeat to find things to do? There's something for everyone in there. I lived in Cincy for about 2 years also (I have since moved), but I found it impossible to make friends there AND I went out about every weekend to bars. People seem to be real 'cliquey' there and if you didn't grow up there, it seems that they aren't intereseted in befriending you. At least that was my experience. Good Luck.

I've found that the older I get, the harder it is to make new friends. I really don't think it's something that you can willfully pursue, ultimately. You're just going to have to meet people during the course of your job, your buisiness or personal activities.
