Sorry for the bad picture, can you tell if I have two females, two males, or one female one male in the picture here? Really curious. One has a dark black line going down the side, the other has a distinguished red patch on it's side:

Beautiful Kribs!
The one with the stripe is a male, while the other is the female. The reason I say that is that both sexes have a redish spot on them, but on females it is much more pronounced. By their size in the picture, I would say they're not going to be ready to breed for another few years, but when they are, be ready for it. make sure they have some sort of cave-like structure in their tank. A medium sized PVC pipe works really well, and is very easy to clean after the brood is out.

I hope helps you!

Kribensis cichlid aka. Pelvachromis Pulcher.

P. pulcher is an easy to care for and colorful fish that falls into the category of dwarf cichlids. One look it all it takes to understand how it got it's name. The Latin translation of "Pelva" meaning 'belly,' "chromis" meaning 'color,' and "pulcher" meaning 'beautiful', describes the fish quite well. During spawning season the female sports a brilliant cherry red colored belly.
