I learned that sometimes a person must develop a fantasy life to escape the pain of reality in order to survive.

I learned that it is important to have faith (or Faith); that faith drives the human spirit and allows us to face the adversities in life which are inevitable. I also learned that we construct our own reality and that humans are capable of experiencing more than one reality; and that more than one might be valid. It was a wonderful book.

I gained a new perspective on zoos! Loved the section defending zoos not as imprisoning animals but as perserving them.
