Oh my...reading these answers!!... I know that most men are put off by it, but in such a way that if they came across a man in womans clothes at the grocery, they are stunned silent. It takes them a few moments to process the info. I think that the violent reaction is still possible if the crossdresser crosses bounds, like aggressive flirting or sitting in a man's lap when they don't know the man. Most people think in terms of 'performers', but forget the everyday crossdresser. It's almost like being so visible that you are invisible. People won't make eye contact. Folks will stare until you stare back. Be brave. Society may not be ready for something, but that doesn't mean it's bad or wrong.

i imagine you're a touch wondered. A crossdresser and a trangender human being are 2 different human beings. and also you'll't be a without delay male and also be both. And "finished time" ? A crossdresser is a guy who likes to dress up in women's outfits. this is not any longer an entire time ingredient. A transgender male is someone who believes he's a woman human being in innovations it is trapped in a male body. many human beings imagine some thing is inaccurate at a very early age. it is a very intense remember and may't fairly be referred to right here. Do you sense like a woman? If no longer, then you actually aren't to any extent further a transgender human being. in case you do,it is a few thing you ought to communicate with consisting of your spouse first, and then a wellbeing care specialist. American society oftentimes does'nt settle for transgender human beings. they have a tendency to reject some thing they don't realize.

I did a research paper on this for school not too long ago.

I interviewed people at three major shopping malls in my area, did tons of research though the media, and conducted an on-line survey. The results are very disappointing. Society as a whole, does not like crossdressers.

I personally don't care how a person dresses, as long as their clothing is relatively modest (no butt-cleavage, nipples, or genital outlines). If a man wants to wear women's clothing, and has good taste, I may even compliment him on his fashion sense! And if I see a transvestite, I ALWAYS address him or her as the gender they are dressed as. I have had several acquaintances who were transvestites or transexuals (there is a difference!), and I was never uncomfortable with any of them. I actually almost dated a transexual (before someone told me), because she (or he) was so comfortable in the role that I didn't know the difference until it was pointed out to me! Mind you, I have a pretty broad sexual preference, and would have gone out with her at least once if it hadn't been for my friends' attitudes. BTW, I am married to a REAL man now, but I am only attracted by a person's heart and soul, not their "appendages". And I dietched those friends when I realized they were more interested in their appearance than mine. People are really shallow...

Some people are weirded out by it, but I am open minded to anything. Crossdressers have never bothered me or weirded me out bc I was always taught to be open and tolerant towards other people's lifestyles. When you think about it, society has set what they consider normal and deviant. That is why I dont look to society to declare what is right or wrong. I look to myself.

Really never thought about it. The only one I have ever known wanted to be a woman---went to have a sex change operation-and they said he was emotionally unbalanced, and they could not do it. Now he is acting out his role as a woman, and putting ads in porn magazines, looking for playmates.

He was a friend once-lost track of him. Hope he is OK.

society unfortunately does not accept us as a whole. there ae some who are indifferent and a few that actually support us, but most of society sees us as perverts or freaks. the truth is there are perverts and freaks everywhere they are gay, bi and straight. it is not fair to lable someone simply based upon their preferences of lovers or clothing. i am a cd and i am proud to admit it to anyone.

do you look good in a dress?
women dress like men all the time, and are not noticed.
some even like it, and yet a man puts on a dress an he's a weirdo. does that make sense? talk about a double standard.

in the city where i live (las vegas), in certain parts its considered ok and normal. but other parts of the area (namely the north las vegas area), you would get shot on sight. as a pre op TS (MTF) myself, i tend to stay waaaaaaaaaaaay away from the north end. most of the clubs and businesses i deal with and go to are extremely TG/TS/CD friendly. so i have seen it from both sides as i moved here from a very UNfriendly TG/TS/CD area in south carolina.
