Hmm~you should see a doc. About a week ago, this happened to me and I ended up having strep throat which is only curable with antibiotics. In the meantime drink some lemon flavored Thera-Flu. The warmness will soothe your throat and it contains pain relievers and fever reducers. Good Luck!

Oh, I've been there!
I had the same problem about 2-3 months ago.
I got some herbal tea for sore throats with Slippery Elm bark and licorice and sipped it all day long. It was the ONLY thing that help a little.
The slippery elm bark has a property that causes it to coat the throat which helps to make the sore throat more bearable.
The only other alternative that I know of is to go to the doctor and get some antibiotics.
However, they will be very difficult to take unless they are in liquid form or they give you a shot.
My fever lasted for about a week and drained me completely of all energy. I also lost a lot of weight since I couldn't eat.
I wish you the best of luck and health!
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Stop eating any sugars, sweets or honey. Eat healthy soups. Try sipping slippery elm tea which will coat your throat and/or room temperature pineapple juice which has enzymes that help coat and soothe your throat. Try sweating it out. Wrap a warm cloth around your throat and/or hot water bottle with a cover. Stay in bed and get better. If your fever gets really high, such as 103 or 104F, see a doctor.

keep drinking stuff like gatorade and powerade and water. Suck on ice even. and you there is always is GOING TO THE DOCTOR!! You could have strep throat, which you would need medicine for. Oh and go into a bathroom and turn on the shower and use really hot water. Then it will be all steamy, which if you breathe will help. But you could just go TO THE DOC!

Short of going to ER and seeing a doctor, gargle with a teaspoon of salt mixed with 1 cup of warm water..do this 2 or 3 times at one half hour intervals. Repeat again in two hour intervals... Stay away from caffine drinks and try hot lemonade with honey for beverages..need to see a doctor to get some antbiotics as you sound like you have an infection..

First, turn on humidifier and suck on hard candy to keep throat moist
Then, try gargling with warm salt water, 1/2 tsp to full glass warm water.
Sip on hot water with honey and lemon, the honey will coat your throat and the lemon will cut through the mucos.
Finally increase the amount of fluid you drink and add very warm broth to the list

Strep is going around.
Go to the doctor for antibiotics.
If you leave it alone, you risk Scarlett fever.
Try sucking on an ice pop once you've been to the doctor.
