'Liberal media' is a myth that the right convinces themself of in order to justify the 'real' news when they hear it. (I am not making this up there was a study on this)

The media is currently leaning to the right.

If you want proof, all you have to do is watch an actual debate on CSpan or hear an actual interview such as the Wallace/Clinton interview last month.

After watching the the real interviews yourself then watching the news, you will see that only portions to the 'right' are broadcast.

Case in point:
After the Wallace/Clinton interview I was up late and had the tv on watching news, ABC and CBS middle of the night news were broadcasting on this story.

Both only played the clips like this...Wallace '... did you do enough to catch Ben Laden....' Clinton, 'No I didn't because I failed.'

What never of those networks played was the rest of that sentence where Clinton says, '... but I did a whole lot more than others...'

They only played a byte and didn't explain that Clinton did a lot more than Bush ever thought to.

This is only one example. Like I said, you can watch a congressional debate on CSPan and hear this all the time.

Additional note: last year, the Bush administration was trying to get it's hands on PBS but there was such a large opposition that they failed. During that time, PBS was playing a lot of shows about this and how they were actually changing media legislation allowing internal lobbying.

I am just glad they didn't get PBS. Today, PBS is the only broadcasted news I will watch.

News shows hmm..
I'm tempted to say " The View" but it's not really news.

1. Week at war with John Roberts CNN.
2. That Kieth Olberman thing on MSNBC.
3 The daily show with John Stewart.( I know It's comedy but you would be surprised how many people take it seriously).
4. The C(some)BS evening news.
5. The Chris Mathews Sunday morning show.
