i know it stopped for a while because the main character died(the father) but then they made a new series with a different guy playing him and then the newest series with a grandfather instead of the father!!!!

Yes, Eight Simple Rules stopped airing new episodes in 2005. There were three seasons in total, and John Ritter (whose role was never recast, by the way) died early in the filming of the second season.

Yeah I think so, it was kinda going down hill after John ritter died any way. In my opinion he was the soul of the show. "The war at home" on Sunday nights is okay, I find it kinda similar.

I hope im write on this answer (the right show im thinking about) BUT- didnt that show stop shooting cause that guy john Ritter died like 2 years ago?- I dont know

didn't the star die? John Ritter... probably kinda difficult to work around that...
