Why is it that America think that are worl leaders. I dont recall there being a vote on the best country and them winning . Personally it seems as though they gave themselves that title .
In my opinion they would have some bottom in any vote or poll , Purely on the basis that they are not the most thoughtful , inteligent or anything decent bunch of folk in this wide world , Granted they know how to dominate the poorer countries and then bleed them dry but that just means they are bullies and who likes them ........................

Most people, hearing the words "world leader" think of military, as you did, but America is a monetary world leader. Our dollar is the world's reserve note, and that can't-and shouldn't-be backed down from by people in this country. I do think we need to stop being the world police, but that doesn't mean we'd be weak, and it doesn't mean we won't help. It means that maybe we should let them try to fix their own problems when it's possible.

America is considered the main world power--they have been the most powerful and the richest. But, with what Bush has done with that power------we have really gone down the drain. I am almost ashamed to tell people-when I travel-that I am an American. It does not mean what it did a few years ago. People no longer have respect for Americans.

The Yanks are a world leader simply because the have W.M.D and also have brains.
They have a spine and stand up for whats right, if the rest of the world likes it or not.
Just a shame we can't in Britain.
We once had an empire till the p.c's destroyed it.

they wouldn't be at the bottom of a poll...there has to be a world leader for some reason...usa plays the role at the moment...by the way usa citizens are considered the most idiot at my country...as well as in many other european countries,,,
