I want everyone to visit this website and read the story:
http://www.invisiblechildren.com/home.php
I watched the movie, and it really is life changing. Check the website and try to donate to help young children in Uganda, Africa, who are being kidnapped and brainwashed into fighting for rebels, if they refuse to fight they are killed.
Everyday they live in fear.

OK, i realize our own country has some problems too, but not on this scale. I saw the movie at school, and thought i would try and spread the word. since the more people that know about it, the better chance something will get done. But everyones got their own oppinions, and i accept them.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who visited the website, and try to spread the word.
Thanks

There are too many bad things happening to children in my own home town, to bother with wasting my charity on kids half way around the world.

I'll leave that up to you single, crusading liberals. YOU change their lives. I'll continue to help these kids at home.

I'm appalled by some of the answers--like we can't care about kids except in our own country, or leave it up to the liberal crusaders. Selfish & mean. Good grief, we certainly know how to spend big bucks for other (so called) "reasons." At least those nasty liberals care about more expenditures to prolong the deaths of Americans & Iraqis, more time in a country that doesn't want us there. It was thoughtful & caring of you to share this. I hope you don't let those with snarls in their underwear bother you. It would be so EASY to give up that six pack, or tons of makeup, or whatever to make a donation! I bet a lot of the meanies aren't doing anything to help children HERE, either. Talk is cheap.

Can't watch the video, I'm sure its heart wrenching, however I find it hard to believe the "people" who created these "children" are oblivious to what causes us to multiply.
CURE: By far less expensive if we sterilize everyone of them, perhaps not an issue had we done so centuries ago. That is a different issue, and who is to say .......but bottom line:
*****NEWSFLASH*****
LIFE IS NOT FAIR......& whoever told you it was sucks for lying.....The truth is ugly at times, but I would rathar be aware of it as much as possible, what I cannot digest now my psyche puts into "denial" until I can process it.
I'm far from unfeeling but our country has issues & we still assist other countries at the expense of our own.

In response to people saying "protect your own country first...blah blah blah"

What makes a human being born in the US better than any human being born anywhere else. That is gross nationalism my friends and it does not work. We are citizens of the world. Get out of your bubble. It doesn't matter who you help if you are helping someone. Do not lambast someone for helping children that aren't American, that sort of thinking paves the road to bigotry whether you wont to admit it or not.

What about the children in your own country that need help?

Why are people so quick to jump on board and protect these kids when there are kids that live in your own city that are being abused/neglected.......
