We have a 97 Chevy Lumina and an 03 Impala. When we took it to Wal-Mart for oil changes, it stated on the slip that it had "0 fittings." So when I change my oil, is that all I have to do? Or does it requie some greasing or lubing to anything? Thanks.

Many of the auto manufactures have gone to non serviceable joints.Ball joint, tie rod end, universal joint, etc.
It is possible that you do not have any however i would inspect the vehicle to verify if it were mine.

yes both of your cars came from the factory sealed. Meaning that there is nothing to grease. Almost al the cars on the road today have nothing to grease. But not sure about Wal-Mart, but most oil change shops dont just change the oil. For instance at my shops we check all the fluid levels and fill them as needed. We check the belts and hoses, tire pressure, test the battery and starting system. Check the air filter and in the 03 we would check the cabin filter. Spray the door hinges and wash the window. So there is a little more to it than just pulling the plug and changing the filter. If you are comfortable doing all those things I stated then yes you would be better off just changing the oil yourself.

Car companies save money by not including grease fittings on parts like the tierods and other joints. When you get your oil changed they will grease them if they have those fittings. Without those fittings the parts will not last as long, but few cars come with them stock.
So the answer, if you change your own oil, yes you don't have to do the greasing if there are no fittings.

most new cars have sealed ball joints so they no longer have to grease them when you get an oil change, what they do is check all your fluid levels to make sure they are all up to par and change the oil so to answer your question, yes, thats all you have to do is change the oil and check all your fluid levels.

it depends if you have ever had and replacement work done on your suspension in either car some newer cars do not have grease fittings in the factory parts they are supposed "greased for life" and do not require maintenance but aafter replacement they usually will have grease fittings in them

Greese is crude. Lube is personal. A good balance involves tasty lube and requisite greese. Apply carefully with good intentions. Results may vary.
