Northern chippies serve gravy but find more southern ones tend to serve curry sauce. Steak pud with curry sauce don,t taste so good.Help !!

I'm up in Scotland - and there is a "sauce", which is a cross between gravy and curry sauce, which has the consistency of a brown sauce. Avoid at all costs - it's weird!
However, we do have a smashing chippy about three miles away - it cooks everything fresh, so takes a bit longer than your normal chippy, but even includes calamari and chips, which is lovely!

Our chippy serves gravy.We are in the midlands and you get gravy and curry sauce.You can have faggots with gravy and sausage with gravy.
The best chippy in our area is The roxy chippy.

It did several different types, however it burnt down on Friday night. Not bad for a southern chip shop (serving gravy i mean not burning down), you northern boys love gravy don't you ?

Curry sauce is great with chips. Will try with pie to find out.MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Pie. As for best chip shop, Try Dove Bros in Enfield, Brimsdown Ave. Never had a bad bag from em , They are the bestEST by far !!!!!!

Yes but we live near Blackpool! The Codfather is good. Harry Ramsden's is overrated - my friend got a piece of frozen fish in her ice-cream.

Land & Sea in Polmont used to be great, but useless now that they've stopped serviing Mathiesons pies.
