I believe that curbishley has the talent and experiance as a manager to successfully integrate the two argentians and get all of the players to play like the did last season. Part of the problem that tevez was having at the club was that pardew played a very simplistic long ball tactic that worked well with zakora and harewood, but tevez is not nearly big enough to play well with those tactics. He is super skilled with the ball at his feet and I think he is going to teach the other players how to play it to his feet.

On the other hand, when you compare their roster to any other club in the premiership (with the exception of watford and sheff utd) they really have a terrible team. I don't think they will drop, but a finish on the top half of the table would be a complete miracle.

I think that in getting rid of Pardew and getting Curbishley they have gone from swimming against the tide (tide has to change some time) to going over a waterfall (never seen a biped swim up a waterfall)

I think Curbishley is an excellent manager. Looks like they might get Darren Bent in january. That will definitely improve them. Maybe sell Tevez to help pay for Bent. They should end mid table this season.

Curbishley will need to spend a few quid of the new chairmans to keep them up.
He did a great job at charlton.

you should of kept pardew,he was unlucky, the new manager will do ok but he wont get fifteen years like at Charlton. staying in the the premiership is worth about 30 million thats why we are getting a lot of foreign invest ores , a quick buck.

Curbishley will make them survive and stay up.He's clever and left the sinking ship. So, Charlton are out and Watford are also.
West Ham will do well next season.
Anyway,I'll never walk alone!

If they can keep Paolo di Canio of the crazy-sauce they might have a good chance!

Speaking of which, has anyone heard if Frank Lampard is out of rehab? I haven't seen him at practice...
