Well it depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin, go for a powder (that matches your skin tone of course) because powder can absorb excess oil. If you have dry skin, go for a cream based foundation. If you have normal, you can wear both. Lucky, you have blue eyes. I'm not really too much of an expert on eye shadow, but maybe some black eyeliner on the bottom of your eyes (lining the roots of your bottom eyelashes) and if you want to, some on the top. For blue eyes, try shadows of gold, pink, brown, plum, etc. If you want to define your eye color, try a shadow that's slightly darker than your eye color. There's just so much to consider. If your skin is sensitive to minerals or just plain irritated, go for Physician's Formula (at drugstores). Try not to buy the really cheap kinds of makeup, like the kinds for little kids. It's worth the price difference to make sure what you're putting on your skin is actually okay for it. Also, if you're looking for a casual look, for yourlips you should line them with invisible lip liner or liner in the color of your lipstick, then fill it in with the liner. Then, coat your lips with the lipstick, blot once with a paper towel, coat it again, then blot it again. You can top it off with a clear or pinkish gloss if you want. (the liipstick color shouldn't be too red or TOO pinkk. Try for something a few shades darker than your regular lip color, but not too dark. a nice sheer pink shade, like L'Oreal Colour juice stick in Watermelon Ice, is nice and glossy and can be worn with anything. With this kind of lipstick you don't really need to apply gloss over it) After foundation, apply your eyeshadow and mascara (in that order). Then blush (powder for oily, cream for dry, any kind for normal) make sure it's not too pink or too red, and then lipcolor.
Hope I helped!

If you go to Clinique.com there's a guide to help you figure out what colors will look best on you. They have them at the counters as well at the mall. If you decide to buy from them, go to a store during Bonus Time because you'll get free stuff, which will also help you by letting you try new things for free. Bonus Time is at Lord & Taylor right now.
Since you're just starting with makeup, try some tinted lip gloss and see which colors look nice on you. You can learn a lot by seeing how you look in pinks versus browns. A lot of makeup falls into those two categories.

Start slowly but play around. If you have some money to spend, head to a nice department store like Dillards, Macys, Nordstroms, etc and browse their cosmetics. Look for colors that suit your tastes. Have them do a consultation, which will include them doing a full facial makeup. Pay attention to the techniquest she shows you. If you dont have that much money, then call up some friends and and host a Mary Kay facial party. The consultant will come to your home, and can guide you through the process.
As for shopping on your own, match your foundation to the inside of your wrist or on your neck close to your ear. Concealer is worn under foundation. If you need under eye concealer, go one shade lighter, and slightly yellow to counteract the blue circles. If you have breakouts, use a greenish concealer under foundation to hide the redness. (Think of the color wheel and chose opposites) Start with a neutal set of colors like light browns and pinks or chose sheer colors if you want to brighten it up. Have fun and customize it to your style, but remember that the purpose of make up is to enhance your natural beauty, so it should look natural and pretty. Good luck, and have fun!

start by using
1. tinted moisturizer : a moisturizer with a slight of tint in it that gives a hydrated beautiful natural look . i do not recommend blusher , bronze or foundation as they clog up paws and can cause bad side effects . a good tinted moisturizer is found in boots in the natural collection . look for the tinted moisturizers and look at the back were the label is and find the color beige . with a clean face squirt a little onto cheeks , nose ,eyelids and for head then rub out wards. just like a normal moisturizer
2. use a black soft eyeliner and stick the liner slightly in the corner of your eye . close your eye and drag across right to the end of your eye then go over it . when you buy a eyeliner it is sometimes sharp and so you should squash it down slightly so its not as hard
3.use Barry ms collections lip glosses and eyeliners as they work well .:> i wish you luck

Agree with the above poster of going to Department store. Also, If you want more personal attention, you could contact a direct sales rep. Mary Kay, Jarfra, etc. will come to you and do a complimentary make over. Just tell the person helping you the look you want i.e. casual, business, natural, glamour and they will help you. I agree that purchasing one item would be just fine and then getting more ecomonical drug store versions. I usually don't skimp on foundation nor mascara or eyeliner, but everything else is pretty much the same.

If you don't know where to start walk around department stores where they sell makeup and "browse" the colors and see if anything interests you. If it does try and get one of the ladies to give you a makeover, they normally pick what's best for you, etc. I did that in 7th grade to get me started and my mom chose Estee Lauder. And the latest one I did with a makeover was MAC. Both were wonderful, there really good to help decide what's best for you without being confused at what your looking for. Or just waisting money on makeup you don't even know you'll like.

If you're very young you need little makeup to look great. Start with a translucent face powder and a medium grey eye shadow, also a tone-on-tone lipstick, a few shades derker than your lips. Don't just spread it on your lips, tap it on, then spread it on with your fingers. Blot excess with paper, or you'll look vulgar. Only lay it thicker if you're having a night out.
Anyway, in Body Shop and other main stores with a cosmetics department they will do your make up for free, just to show you how and which is best.

Okay first check and see if your skin is alergic to the makeup, first buy a bottle of foundation, you want it to be the color of your skin tone, . start small, just put a small amount on your finger tip then rub on your cheek, then wait for a few mintues if your skin starts to ich take off the foundation,,, and wash your face, you say your skin tone is pale , there for you wanna go with a foundation color nude, or beighs, try out the colors first before you buy them... the best way for you to really find what your looking for in colors and shades, and everything else thats comes with makeup and beauty is to go to a department store, that has sit ins to where theres someone to help you with your make up issues.. like try carsons perrie scott, or jc pennys , marshal feild, or even maceys. okay I hope I'd help a little. okay good bye.

Go to the cosmetics counter of an upscale department store. Pay attention to her recommendations. Buy one product she recommends (to be fair) and find equivalent products at the drugstore.
