as long as your character is Harry Palmer and not Hairy Palmer, I think she`ll be well pleased if in fact your Michael Caine and not some Michael `being a` Pain again she`ll be ok.
take her out for some Salvador Dali dont get to Santa's Grotto then go back to your Cat and Mouse for some Posh & Becks with her and have the opportunity to give `er a good old Melvyn Bragg ;-)

First of all, Harry Palmer sounds a little too much like Harry Potter, so I'd stay away from the BS...She's probably pretty smart, especially if your lady friend is JK Rowling...She might smell the BS...She won't be interested in you because she'll know you aren't Michael Caine either...
