-=Can I Lay the Refrigerator on its Side?=-
Avoid laying a refrigerator on its side. The oil in the compressor can flow into the cooling lines when the refrigerator is tipped onto its side. When returned to an upright position, there is a risk that the oil will not completely drain from the cooling lines and the refrigerator will not cool.

We layed a fridge on it's side once and moved it to a house around the corner. The fridge was ruined. My husband keeps the fridge upright at all times when moving now.

Yes, but you will have to let it stand in the upright position for 24 hours before plugging it in. The oil in the compressor needs to drain back into the compressor.

If possible keep it upright. Also, keep it shut off at least 24 hours AFTER you move it. That will keep it working properly and won't kill it early. The freon inside needs time to equillbriate.
If you don't have one, get a two wheeler, makes everything much easier!

You can but it's not recommended. If for some reason you have to lay it on its side let it sit upright for 24hrs before you plug it back in.

no, it has to be relatively upright when transporting it and you have to let it sit for up to 24 hours because the oil and the coolant get mixed up when moving and the more it is upset the longer you have to let it sit so everything settlers down

wait till eventually you absolutly ought to have it operating oil takes a lengthy time period to flow and infrequently receives stuck contained in the expantion valve and once you turn it on - it over. in case you may wait 3 days it extremely is perfect because the oil can flow out of the small hollow. understand refs compress gas no longer drinks.

i have done that a few time's. but you can not plug it back up for at least 24hours after you sit it back up-right. that lets the cooling fluids to settle back in place.
