Possible, unless stated directly in will, may be compensated some other way in doing so but usually if a large estate and alot of heirs, then monetary compensation is in hand but again usuall spelled out in will itself. In small wills atty reads contents and has already been paid.

generally, a 10% fee is appropriate and is usually stipulated in the will.
