The 3.3 is a Chrysler engine, it most definately uses a timing chain, not a belt. Like the last guy said, ignore all the idiots who said it is a belt.
If you really want proof, call the parts store and ask how much for a timing belt for this engine. They won't be able to find one listed.

It's a belt. If you're lucky, it's a non-interfering belt that doesn't ruin anything else in your engine if it snaps---your car just comes to a quiet halt. Interfering? Well, it's 10 years old, so I'd say you'd probably just scrap the car at that point, because it can really screw things up.

It's a chain and gears-don't listen to the belt people.....be advised, you'll have to drop oil pan too for pick up screen removal. (not hard)

timing belt , and make sure you have a diagram for the timming marks, those valves are close to the pistions be careful

I'm pretty sure they have a chain If it's a Mitsubishy engine. You can hear it slapping under the hood if you listen close.
