The class i am thinking about taking, is 2 hours after school, from monday to thursday, for 6 weeks. i think it would be too stressful and i'm not sure if it's worth it. Should i just hit the books?

I think you'll probably do better on the SAT taking the class. My daughter took a prep class this past fall semester. It was every Tuesday for 1 1 /2 hours, and was probably a 14 week course. She took the SAT and ACT just a couple of weeks ago, and told me she was VERY glad I made her take the courses. Unless you're highly motivated and work well independently (most kids don't), then I'd take the class. 6 weeks isn't a very long time, and learning how to budget your time is an important skill to learn.

I recommend taking the SAT course. It would be stressful but you will learn from it. Education is never a waste of time. I also recommend taking the PSAT because I took it and it gave me a taste of what I can expect in the future.

Definitely take it. Might seem stressful or really abstract at first, but will pay off...even by a small margin is better. Usually you can see example type questions that will be presented on the SAT and this will help you prepare.

I would highly recommend it. However if you are a self starter there are PLENTY of great SAT computer help programs floating around. Do whatever it takes to increase your score. You didn't state if you took the PSAT. If not I would start with that.

It is too important for your future. Unless your grades are just phenominal; I would take the SAT prep.

I didn't, but a lot of my friends did...it all depends on a) your PSAT score, and b) how much courses like that actually help you. If you think you can do it on your own, go for it. If you don't think so, do yourself a favor and don't do it.
