I goy beat when I was young by both my parents and my teachers in grade school. I feel that I turned out just fine and probably a better person for it, but then I dealt with the draft too during the Viet Nam war and that didnt hurt either. Now I just raised two daughters and didnt spank them and I see a whole lot of difference between them and I, mostly for the worse especially when it came to doing what they were told. Spanking has its place but overdoing it constitutes abuse nowadays and is not good. Merry Christmas

Yes, I was spanked on my bottom as a child and the effect was that my brain settled firmly in my skull and now I can reason and think better.
