I had a small fire on my porch, which melted the hard plastic porch furniture on to the brick surface. Scraping it only goes so far. Any tips on how to get it off?

Wear protective gloves. Pour on acetone , wait for the plastic to soften and scrape off. May take repeated applications. Don't breath in the fumes.

Get a propane torch, burn off all the melted plastic, then clean the brick with sulphuric acid. I swear it works, I've done it myself.

Get a can of (they call it air conditioner recharger) from an autoparts store. Then, spray it on the plastic. It should freeze it and you may be able to break it by hitting it with a rubber mallet or stamping it with your shoe or something.
