Hello,
No, it is not necessary to capitalize holiday in the middle of a sentence, however it is necessary to capitalize the H in word if holiday is the first word in the sentence. Example: Holidays are fun. Holiday is a common noun. While a more specific noun like Christmas is a proper noun. Most proper nouns are capitalized. If the noun is specific it is proper., if it isn't a specific person, place or thing, it is a common noun which is not capitalized in the middle of the sentence, however only the beginning.

Is Holiday Capitalized

If you must use this abomination of a word, surely the I, as the first person singular pronoun, should be capitalised wherever it appears in a sentence. ima looks odd. But applying lexical strictness to a sloppy slang word might be a lost cause anyway. Don't suppose I shall ever use it myself, but I agree with you about slang words gaining respectability over time. Like innit - another horrible word that I only use ironically (so that's OK then). It is very useful, and French and German already have a single expression - n'est-ce pas and nicht wahr - for all the isn't it, are you, may we, couldn't it be, ought they to have .. etc expressions. That one will gain currency I am sure, so Ima might do as well. As long as you SPELL IT WITH A CAPITAL I.

Only use caps if "holiday" is being used as a proper noun - or if starting a sentence, of course:

"Holidays, I love holidays", said Holiday Stevens.

Christmas holidays are great.

No. I only capitalize the specific holiday.

No. "Holiday" in those sentances is not used as the first word in the sentance or a name of something. Keep it lowercase.

No need to capitalise unless its a name of a place/resort or something like that.
