Any secrets to preventing mice eating your food sack while hiking?

I know to hang your food sack in a tree about 15' high and 10' awayfrom the tree. I am looking for added protection.

well.. there are 2 ways... one, you don't take food... and two, double bag it

Mice ! You mean deer mice? Sure you are not dealing with squirrels? Aluminum cannisters and packs, hard plastic boxes, metal zippers on tarp food pouches.
Worry about bear and grizzlies
